RN Job Description

Primary Duties:
  • Provides direct patient care as a representative of the NP / Physician.
  • Delivers care in accordance with mutually agreed upon guidelines that are developed by the Physician and based on the delegations. 
  • Assess patients and discuss treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with individual patients for treatment plans.
  • Provide pre and post procedure instructions and education.
  • Supervise other staff as assigned
  • Schedule and check out patients as needed.
  • Obtain consents for each treatment.
  • Return patient calls and messages.
  • Tracks referral sources, sends thank you letters to the source, and dictates consultation letters to the patient.
  • Responsible for the coordination of retention correspondence to patients regarding their follow-up treatment plan.
  • Maintains the patient’s medical records detailing all treatment procedures, medication history, and educational materials distributed.  
  • Collects payment for services provided and products sold, and deposits funds collected into the secure register as directed by the physician and management of the facility.
  • Charts all patient interactions and episodes of care within 8 hours of interactions.

 Secondary Duties:
  • Confirms with patients their clear understanding that a nurse is treating them.
  • Review with the physician and NP on all delegated patient services on a regular basis, as well as mutually agreed guidelines for the practice.
  • Clarifies and familiarizes all issues related to supervision methods and style of delegating patient care with the physician and NP.
  • Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards. Cleans work areas before and after services.
  • Other duties assigned by the clinical director.

Education and Experience:
  • Three years minimum of experience working as a licensed nurse.
  • Graduate of accredited nursing program with current state license.
  • Completion of the appropriate and recommended RN courses as well as specific training for modalities identified.
 
Contract for employment will be provided.   Employment/Contract “at will”.  
Immediate 90 day probation required upon hire date.
